In Myyrmäkitalo you will find everything you need

From Myyrmäki’s own shopping centre Myyrmanni you will find all the necessary services needed in every day life such as a pharmacy, restaurants, cafés, grocery stores and clothing shops. In Myyrmäkitalo lies a big library, art museum and Vantaa’s own info station. With P- and I-trains you travel to Helsinki and airport in under half an hour and with a bus you travel with ease to Vantaa’s other districts.

Art in Myrtsi's heart

Legendary Myyrmäki’s night of the arts or Why So Myrtsi?, is an event where locals experience street art and eat good food. In Myrtsi you can admire street art outside of the event as well since there are 70 pieces of art around the area from graffitis in the underpasses to murals on apartment building’s walls.

More street art can be seen in Myyrmäkitalo, in Vantaa’s art museum Artsi. Artsi is a home for 10 000 pieces of art and you should check out contemporary art and pieces from 60’s while in there.

Little ones in the family get to do art and crafts in children’s culture centre Toteemi. Toteemi organizes children’s art mornings, Pikkukino-movie shows and concerts. If art and drawing are close to your kid’s heart, you should ask about the possibilities of starting a hobby from Toteemi.

Athlete’s home

Myyrmäki’s sport park is the number one choice for athletes because there are Energia-arena, football station, two ice stadiums, indoor sport stadium with gyms, squash and badminton courts and an athletics field. Whether you wanted to play floorball or ice hockey, you will find space for your hobby in Myyrmäki’s sport park.

Nature close to home

You don’t have to travel far from your rental home to enjoy a good walk in nature, because Myyrmäki and Vantaa offer many green parks and forests.

In Jokiuomanpuisto you can wash your carpets in an outdoor carpet washing spot, play golf or listen to music in an event called Louhela Jam. In Raappavuori park you can jog in beautiful forest scenery and walk your dog in the dog park.

For dogs Myyrmäki is a perfect place to live because in addition to Raappavuori there are eight dog parks.

Myyrmäki-movement is a resident community which organizes events for locals. In addition the movement publishes a local paper called Myyr York Times which covers the area’s news in a magazine style.
