If you are into photography, we recommend you head towards Porkkalanniemi. Wonderful locations include thick forest pathways and beautiful seascape. Porkkala is also perfect for bird watching, for in the fall it is located on the route of migrating flocks.

The rocky shoreline of Linlo invites you for a day trip near Porkkalanniemi. You can enter Linlo via bridge, and there are plenty of seating areas to take a breather during your walk.

Historical attractions

Eerikinpolku trail in Kirkkonummi is a fine choice for any fan of history. The trail passes both Eerikinkartano and Navalan kartano estates. You learn a lot about Finnish history from the beginning of the 20th century, and get to admire the lush scenery of Haapajärvi.

Hvitträsk kartano estate is a beautiful combination of architecture and art. Completed on 1903 this lovely jugend house has been a museum for 50 years, and it also houses an atelier. In the summertime guests love to visit Hvitträsk cafe to get a taste of delicacies inpired by recipes of Loja, wife of architect Eliel Saarinen.

The Orthodox church of Pokrova is located in Jorvas, Kirkkonummi. The building itself as well as the community offer a lot to see and experience. The church is built in an old stable, and the garden tended by the order is a lovely place to spend some time in.

For your four-legged friend Kirkkonummi is the place to be, especially because of its abundant dog parts. In 2018 the town decided to create six new dog parks, with activity toys for the pups to play with.
