Completed in 2023, Sorakatu 9 is a sturdy, concrete-frame building in the best location in Skanssi. The many common areas of the building are located on floor 1: storage units, civil defence shelter, storage for baby carriages and bicycles, laundry and drying room, and sauna facilities. The outdoor equipment storage rooms can conveniently be accessed straight from Sorakatu. The laundry is equipped with two washing machines and one dryer, which can be used free of charge by booking a slot in the laundry booking system. Each apartment has a private storage unit. The homes are located on floors 2–8. The floors of the homes are done in pale oak-plank laminate, the walls are painted in a light colour. The windows are fitted with light-coloured Venetian blinds. The kitchens are equipped with induction stovetop, oven, extractor fan and fridge-freezer, with space set aside for a microwave. The bathrooms have space and hook-ups for a washing machine and dryer. The homes are also equipped with laundry cabinets, which are in the bathroom in the 3-bedroom homes and in the entrance hallway in all others. The tiled bathrooms have wet underfloor heating. The building is heated with district heat. Each apartment has its own water meter. The building features centralised mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation with heat recovery. Ventilation enhancement takes place via the extractor hood. The building is equipped with iLOQ locks. The solar panels on the roofs of the house produce electricity for the property's needs.
